Shannon Taitt, MPA
President & CEO
A native of Ayer, MA, Shannon is the Founder & CEO of Deep Roots Consulting, LLC. She has expertise in criminal justice, substance abuse and mental health, workforce development, and minority health. Shannon has more than 20 years of experience as a recognized public health and strategic development expert at the federal, state, and local levels of government, school systems, and with community organizations. She is a transitional leader who believes in helping everyone get better results for and from themselves.
Briana Urbina
Board Member
Briana Urbina is a bar-certified DC attorney, former special education teacher, and former Congressional candidate for Maryland’s 5th District. Throughout her career, she’s focused on bringing institutional policy solutions to the table that sustains education equity and tackles opportunity gaps to provide a more just society for all. As a mother of a child with special needs, she understands how critical mentorship and education is to the development of our next generation of adults.
Angel Gipe

Angel lost both parents at the age of 17, so the foundation's mission resonates deeply. Her pain is now her purpose and has inspired her to help others navigate through loss and aspire to be their best self. Angel's professional background includes project management, operational strategy, and marketing events and communication. Angel is passionate about being the change and is very honored to be a part of this amazing foundation.
Dr. Latorie Jones
Board Member
A Florida native and pharmacist by trade, Dr. Latorie Jones has been instrumental, both nationally and internationally, in enforcing safety measures to ensure a safe and effective drug supply. Additionally, she has worked with the nation’s top public health experts to combat the opioid epidemic and on response efforts to pressing public health emergencies. She has an innate ability for helping others, which fuels her passion and drive for vulnerable and disparate communities.
